The assimilation of wedding looks over the last eightish years is fascinating, and no doubt related to ad space, influencer culture, and trends going viral at lightning speed in the era of short attention spans and our group urge to *add to cart.*
The blah blah blah personal style blah blah-ification of the last however many months has created just another cycle of suggestions, recommendations and curations that have ironically led to more sameness, just in the fresh real estate of new social media-spheres.
I would like to consider the occasion of a wedding a decently safe space to explore the breadth of your sartorial inclinations (within reason, of course - the day is about the couple to be wed - don’t go hogging all the attention) given the abundance of cheerful, light-hearted energy and depending on your relation to the guest list, a flock of supportive people to gas you up. It’s the perfect place to tippy toe outside of your comfort zone and try out a color/pattern/silhouette/accessory that maybe you don’t often reach for.
Buy something unique, one-of-a-kind, vintage and use it as cocktail hour small talk chit chat material - much more fun than repeating what you do for work a million times and perhaps the best way to dodge ruthless interrogations from your Aunt Susan about why you aren’t married yet.

I originally was going to sort this by vibes - casual, cocktail, black tie, destination and throw in some wildcards (the fashion statement, if you will) but it looked like a hot ass mess visually. So shop this knowing there are an assortment of vibes going on here (including some things that have a hint of white - only appropriate if you fully understand the dress code/emotions of the persons to be wed if they are wearing white), as well as price points - wear this thing to more than one thing!!
This was originally supposed to go out yesterday morning, but a summer storm knocked our power out twice while I was trying to finish editing…you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone…mostly when it’s gone for 8! whole! hours!
